Here is the complete text of the Liberty Amendment
Section 1. The Government of the United States shall not engage in any business, professional, commercial, financial or industrial enterprise except as specified in the Constitution. Section 2. The constitution or laws of any State, or the laws of the United States shall not be subject to the terms of any foreign or domestic agreement which would abrogate this amendment. Section 3. The activities of the United States Government which violate the intent and purpose of this amendment shall, within a period of three years from the date of the ratification of this amendment, be liquidated and the properties and facilities affected shall be sold. Section 4. Three years after the ratification of this amendment the sixteenth article of amendments to the Constitution of the United States shall stand repealed and thereafter Congress shall not levy taxes on personal incomes, estates, and/or gifts. |

The Liberty Amendment was written by businessman Willis Stone. Its purpose was to limit the federal government to the original intent of the Founding Fathers. Over the years, patriotic Congressmen of both parties, including John Rousselot, James Utt, John Schmitz, John Rarick and Larry McDonald, who was either assassinated on KAL 007 or kidnapped and held in the Soviet gulag in 1983. Macko supports Congressman Ron Paul's bill, H.R. 2755 http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D...uF2:: to abolish the Federal Reserve System (which has robbed the American people of 99 percent of the value of the dollar since 1913) and establish honest money.
He favors repeal of legal tender laws and taxes on transactions in gold, silver, platinum and other precious metals so that private money systems could be established. See COMMENTARY regarding the Federal Reserve System.
Macko will vote to end the energy non-crisis http://video.google.com/videoplay...1147 by abolishing the Department of Energy and repealing all laws, executive orders, court rulings and any other legal limitations on the discovery, development and transmission of energy, whether oil, nuclear power or coal, as well as inefficient, less productive sources such as solar energy and wind power and the erection of nuclear power plants. He supports a ten year moratorium on all taxes which impede the development of all sources of energy. As a small symbol of sympathy for the American people, Macko will support Congressman Ron Paul's proposal for a federal gasoline tax moratorium until gasoline falls below $2.50 per gallon.
Macko supports true free trade but opposes those measures, multi-thousand page treaties and agreements, which restrict our national sovereignty, including the North American Union, the WTO, NAFTA, CAFTA and FTAA.
Macko will vote to require the government to stop reporting false inflation figures which do not include food and energy costs and which distort housing costs. Otherwise, the bureaucrats who manufacture these figures should go without using food and energy themselves.
Macko favors a phase-out of Social Security, using proceeds from the sale of federal lands and other property for that purpose and allowing anyone who wishes to do so to opt out of the system now.
Macko supports improving the health of the American people by abolishing the Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration, Medicare, Medicaid and all corporate and individual welfare. These programs are all unconstitutional and harmful to the self-reliance of the American people. Tax incentives to businesses to provide health care should end. Tying health care to employment is a primary cause of jobless people not having insurance. Tax incentives to individuals to provide for their own health insurance should be established as long as the federal income tax is in force.
If the American people allow our health care system to be totally socialized, the government will regulate your every action, including when you get up, when you go to bed, your diet, exercise and all other behavior, just as your parents did when they were responsible for your health but without the loving care which they had for you. You will be reduced to part of a herd of government livestock. If you have a "right" to health care, which doctors and nurses do you want to enslave to provide you with that care?
